Yes. You can upload and overlay your own high-resolution satellite or drone imagery, and visualize it over time using the timeline feature. Contact us for further information.

Can I display forest cover, biomass or fire data?

Yes. With our Thematic Data Library, you can overlay dozens of public or custom data layers, such as:
  • Forest loss & gain (e.g. Hansen)
  • Biomass and tree cover
  • Land use and land cover change
  • Burned area and fire dynamics
These help contextualize your impact and tell a more complete story.

What kind of data is available?

explorer.land offers a rich mix of project-specific and geospatial data to help you tell a transparent, evidence-based story. You can display:
  • Core project information such as project type (e.g., reforestation, agroforestry), site locations, timelines, status, and other key descriptors
  • Geolocated updates with photos, news, and stories tied to specific site locations
  • Stakeholder data, linking partners, sponsors, and funders directly to the sites they support
In addition to your own data, explorer.land integrates a growing Thematic Data Library featuring trusted global datasets. These include:
  • Forest change & alerts from Global Forest Watch
  • Biomass and land cover from TerraPulse
  • Drone imagery from GLOBIL
  • Additional layers covering fire dynamics, land use, restoration potential, and more
  • Read more about the data layers on our extensive article
You can also choose from multiple satellite basemaps (Mapbox, Esri, Bing) and import your own layers (e.g., drone maps, shapefiles, satellite imagery). New data layers are added regularly to enhance transparency, analysis, and storytelling — so make sure to check back often.
