Organizations represent the core entities driving rewilding efforts, whether they’re nonprofits, foundations, research groups, community initiatives, or private companies. Think of your organization profile as the digital home for your team’s identity, values, and accomplishments.
Your profile connects all your rewilding projects under one umbrella, making it easy to manage them while giving funders, stakeholders, and the public a clear view of who you are and what you stand for.Why it’s important to set up organization profile?

How to Set Up Your Organization Profile
Setting up your organization is simple. Follow these steps to get started:
1. Log in to explorer.land
Navigate to your dashboard using your account credentials.
2. Click ‘Create Organization’
From your dashboard, find and click the CREATE ORGANIZATION button to begin.
3. Enter your organization details
- Name (mandatory field): The official name of your organization.
- Acronym: Enter the official acronym of your organization. If it does not have one, then leave the field empty.
- Slug (mandatory field): Enter a short version of your organization’s name (which may be the acronym, if available) to create a short and clean url. The slug will compose the end part of your organization’s url.
- Type (mandatory field): Select the type of organization: NGO, Company, Consortium, Family, Governmental, University, Cooperative, Initiative.
- Description: Share your mission, values, and key achievements. Use this space to tell your story and explain why your work matters.
- Contact Information (mandatory field): Add email addresses, phone number and/or a website to help stakeholders reach you.
- Country (mandatory field): Indicate where you organization is located.
4. Save as a draft or publish your organization: we recommend to save as a draft at the moment, as you will be able to preview your page and add additional information right after that.
5. Add your logo and a header image: Upload your logo to make your profile visually appealing and easily recognizable.
6. Add A Featured Video (Optional)
Make your organization stand out by uploading a featured video! This is your chance to visually showcase your mission, highlight the progress of your rewilding projects, and inspire stakeholders with your story. A compelling video can attract more attention, build trust, and foster deeper connections with your audience. Don’t miss this opportunity to bring your work to life! This can be an institutional video or a camera trap for example.
7. Add Team Members (Optional)
Invite team members to join your organization profile, giving them the ability to manage projects, upload content, and collaborate seamlessly.
8. Create or Connect Your Projects (Optional)
Once your organization profile is ready, link your rewilding projects to showcase your collective impact. Learn how to create your first project.
9. Link Organizations (Optional)
To be linked to Global Rewilding Alliance, make sure to send us an email at contact@openforests.com.
10. Save and Publish
Review the information you’ve entered, make any necessary edits, and hit Save. Your organization profile is now live and visible to the explorer.land community!
Once it’s live, you can view and share your project through the general url and the exclusive url:
- general url: With the general url of your Organization, visitors can navigate to other projects available on explorer.land.
- exclusive url: With the exclusive url visitors can only access your organization and related projects.
